Everyone can benefit from love coaching. Whether it’s singles who’ve almost lost hope or couples who want to improve the quality of their relationships, it’s important to consider what love coaching is. But what exactly is love coaching?

A coach for love – and that too?! What exactly is love coaching supposed to achieve? That’s a question I, love coach Sandy Kaufmann, often hear. Many people think love is something so natural that we can’t influence it at all.

But many failed love stories, being single for a long time without meaning to, separation, divorce, or marital crises – none of this is accidental . It’s the result of wounds from the past that are reflected in the most intimate relationship we know: the romantic relationship . That’s why love coaching is so useful for certain issues.

What is coaching for romantic relationships?

Love coaching is not psychotherapy. The goal of psychotherapy is to put into words what happened in the past in order to become aware of the influence of the past on our behavior or on our romantic relationship.

Love coaching is more future-oriented in the sense that it provides you with a framework within which you can find your own solutions to achieve your desired goal. It consists of two steps:

  • The goal must be clearly defined
  • Understand how and with which resources you will achieve this goal

Introspecting your past essentially serves to understand your mechanisms of past reactions and to become aware of what resources you already have to achieve your goal.

During love coaching, I offer new tools to, for example, improve communication in a couple’s relationship , manage conflicts, express one’s own needs and boundaries in a non-violent and benevolent way, and achieve more emotional independence so that the person can develop new resources and reach their goals more quickly.

Who is Love Coaching for?

Love Coaching for Singles

Love coaching can help singles who are struggling to build a relationship. Coaching helps you take stock of past romantic experiences and understand what you need to change to make your relationship successful. My article ” Why Am I Still Single?”  will help you understand the reasons for your singleness.

Love Coaching for Couples

Love coaching is also for people who are unhappy in their relationships . When life as a couple is unfulfilling or even a source of suffering, and the impression arises that the same love patterns are repeating themselves.

The love coach can help you take stock of your existing relationship, become aware of your personal mistakes and your shared responsibility for the current situation, and take the first steps towards improving the relationship and starting a dialogue with your partner to improve the situation.

The coach can also help the person mature their decision to end the relationship. My article ” How Can You Truly Let Go in Your Relationship?”  will help you make that decision.

Love Coaching for Relationship Crises

Conflicts are healthy and inevitable in relationships. However, the words used during crisis phases can be very destructive for the couple. Coaching can help people in a relationship crisis  to look outward, better understand each partner’s perspective and the underlying causes, and consider initial solutions to overcome or defuse the crisis. My article ” The Stages of a Romantic Relationship”  will help you understand where you are right now.

Love coaching during a separation or divorce

Love coaching can also be helpful for starting over and rebuilding after a breakup or divorce . This grieving phase is particularly difficult to overcome. It requires regaining emotional composure, understanding why the relationship failed, and opening yourself up to love again in order to welcome a new relationship.

If children are involved in the separation, it’s also necessary to find a balance in the exchange with the former partner for the children’s well-being. In my article ” How to Deal with the Grief of a Relationship,” you’ll find further explanations and access to free resources to rebuild your relationship in a calm and relaxed manner.

The different forms of coaching

Self-coaching

In self-coaching, you immerse yourself in the coaching process with the help of questions. This makes it easier for you to consciously identify the cause(s) of your current situation and challenges with love. Click here for my self-coaching offer .

Individual coaching

One-on-one coaching is the method of choice if you feel particularly blocked in a situation and need personalized support from a coach. Click here for one-on-one coaching .

There are different approaches to coaching: online or in-person, in one-on-one sessions or as a package. It depends on the coach. All of the coaching I offer is online. I don’t offer one-on-one sessions because I believe it requires a certain amount of foundational work to see results in your relationship—such as identifying your love pattern, changing your love patterns, and practicing communication tools to be happy in a relationship without forgetting yourself.

When should you start love coaching?

Personally, I think that everyone should have life coaching at least once in their life – even if it is just to learn how we function as humans, to discover the resources we already have, to gain self-confidence, to learn the basics of better managing our emotions, or to communicate in a benevolent and non-violent way.
